New Bus Shelter from LRTA and Town of Chelmsford

The LRTA and Town of Chelmsford have been strong partners through the years in pursuit of improved and convenient public transit service for the community. On Tuesday, the collaboration was in evidence as a new bus shelter on Route 129 near Omni Way was formally unveiled by town and LRTA officials. The Chelmsford DPW provided a new concrete foundation for the shelter, which was erected by LRTA maintenance workers. The shelter cost $5,400 and was paid for by the LRTA. The spot is on a highly visible road that is seeing a lot of new economic development on both sides of the roadway, including a proposal for a new restaurant.
