In the month of June, the MBTA will be replacing the stairs to the Lowell Station Commuter Rail Platform.
This work will require full station closures on the following weekends:
- June 20 – 21, 2026
- June 27 – 28, 2026
Weeknight service at Lowell station will also end early at 10:00 PM from June 8 to 26, 2026.
Shuttle buses between Lowell and North Billerica will be in place during these closures.
