The LRTA Announces The Current Fare Free Program Has Been Extended Through September 30, 2026 for Fixed Bus Routes and Road Runner. In observance of Juneteenth, the LRTA will run on a Saturday schedule on Friday June 19, 2026.
In the month of June, the MBTA will be replacing the stairs to the Lowell Station Commuter Rail Platform. This work will require full station closures on the following weekends: June 20 – 21, 2026 June 27 – 28, 2026 Weeknight service at Lowell station will also end early at 10:00 PM from June 8
The LRTA, with assistance from Nelson Nygaard, is undertaking a Service Review of our bus routes. In April, an online survey and pop-up event ay Gallagher Terminal will be available for people who would like to give feedback on proposals for changes to existing routes.
