What is Road Runner Senior Dial-A-Ride Service?
There is a significant difference between Road Runner ADA complementary paratransit and Senior Service, also known as Dial-A-Ride Service. Senior Service is a limited service by advance request for seniors who are 60 years of age and older who live in a nearby town to Lowell, MA. Dial-A-Ride is not tied to the service areas of the LRTA fixed route. Senior Service schedules are limited and the schedule is not related to the schedules of the LRTA fixed route.
The eligibility requirements for Senior Service, are different from the eligibility requirements for ADA service. Many Council on Aging agencies provide Senior and/or ADA transportation. Please contact your local Council on Aging for more information. Road Runner Senior Service is specific to the community in which the passenger lives.
