Senior Dial-A-Ride Hours and Fares

Effective November, 2017, Senior Service  in Billerica, Chelmsford, Tewksbury, and Dracut

Road Runner Senior Service, Dial-A-Ride (DAR) is available for trips beyond the senior’s home town which travel to a medical appointment within the LRTA service area.

Effective November, 2017, Senior Service  in Lowell:

Road Runner Senior Service, Dial-A-Ride (DAR) is available for trips which travel to medical appointments within the LRTA service area.

Transportation is available from approximately 8am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday. Seniors must call 7 days in advance to reserve transportation. Dispatch will accept senior phone call  reservations from 8am to 3pm, Monday though Friday. Seniors are asked to call their local Senior Centers for all rides not covered by Road Runner Service.

Dial-a-Ride Fares (One Way)

$1.00 traveling within one community

$1.50 traveling within two or more communities

Wednesday Medical Bus (Round Trip)

$12.50 Bedford Veterans Administration Facility

$25.00 Boston Area Medical Facilities

Burlington Trips (Round Trip)

$12.50 Senior Medical Trips to Burlington

Exact change is required for each trip.
For example, if a senior travels to Burlington, the exact change for the trip is $6.25,
or if a senior travels from Lowell to Chelmsford, the exact change would be $1.50.
Drivers DO NOT make change. If a rider does not have the exact fare, the trip may be declined.

Please be advised that Road Runner is unable to accept Charlie Cards for payment.
